Rhizome Event presented by The Artizen Company

Free & Open to the public

The Artizen Company will host an Our History Our Narrative Rhizome Event. A celebration of Black Culture keepers and the culture and history they keep! Free and open to the general public and all invited guests. We will have music, food, tours, activities, and a special (in-progress) screening of Aimee McCoy’s short documentary film about James C. Horton the Curator, Collector, and Owner of The Sights and Sound Black Cultural Expo Museum (SAS).
Mr. James C. Horton and his family have been collecting artifacts and memorabilia of Black cultural and historical aspects of the Black American experience since his childhood. This curated design of SAS begins with the collector himself then your journey begins from the continent of Africa to the presidency of Barack Obama. Capturing moments of history like the contributions to civil rights, science, industry, government, activism, religion, and entertainment. Take this opportunity, be surrounded by a selection of what Our Narrative is with our History, and celebrate this culture and Mr. Horton as a Culture Keeper.
